5th Annual Source Protection Video Contest

The County of Maui Department of Water Supply offers an annual Poster & Video Contest open to currently enrolled Maui County students.

Due to the Covid health emergency and its many in-classroom restrictions and challenges, we are “pausing” the poster contest for 2021. However, we are delighted to be hosting our 5th Annual Video Contest and are expanding the entry to all Maui County middle and high school students.

This year’s contest theme:

ʻO ka moʻolelo o ka wai maʻemaʻe; ʻo ia hoʻi ka wai kahe mai ka wai kahe aku Clean Water Story: What Goes Around, Comes Around

Eligible participants: Participants must be enrolled and in good standing at a County of Maui public or private middle or high school or home school (grades 6‐12).

Submission limits: Video submissions are limited to one video entry per student as an individual or as a team of up to four students. All submissions are final.

Video length: The video run time must be no more than four (4) minutes and no less than 1.5 minutes (total running time).

Video format: We encourage smart phone production. All videos must be submitted in one of the following video/file formats: .mp4, .mov, .wmv, .avi, or .mpg on a USB flash drive.

Contest deadline: Friday, April 9, 2021.
