6th Annual Source Protection Video Contest

2023 6th Annual Source Protection Video Contest

The Department of Water Supply (DWS) is pleased to announce its 6th Annual Source Water Protection Video Contest. DWS is searching for entries that are creative, inspiring, original, and informative videos from Maui County’s High School and Middle School students (6th-12th grade).

Video Contest Theme

This year's video contest theme is "Protecting Our Water, Our Kuleana”. Submitted video will be judged based on four criteria; accuracy of the information and effectively increases awareness, creativity and originality, entertainment value, and production quality. Please see the link to the file for

Please showcase the theme above within the video as well as source protection and water quality or it may be disqualified. Winning entries are first, second, and third place, and honorable mentions. Each of these will receive various prizes. Winning entries will be displayed on the County of Maui Department of Water Supply website.

Lastly, student participation in the DWS Poster & Video Contests would not be possible without the tireless efforts from all of our Maui County teachers and parents who selflessly donate their valuable time to see their students and children succeed in everything they do. Our sincerest MAHALO for supporting our keiki and the Department of Water Supply’s efforts to conserve and protect our water resources...because “By Water All Things Find Life
