2023 Poster & Video Contest Results
12th Annual Water Conservation Poster Contest &
6th Annual Source Protection Video Contest
The Department of Water Supply (DWS) is pleased to announce the winners of its 12th Annual Water Conservation Poster Contest and the 6th Annual Source Protection Video Contest. DWS received outstanding artwork from over 400 students from kindergarten to grade 5 and 25 creative videos from intermediate and high school students.
Poster Contest Theme
The theme of this year’s poster contest is “Conserving Water, Our Kuleana”. Submitted artworks were judged based on three criteria: water conservation message, originality, and visual effectiveness (neatness and creativity- Winning entries will be on the County of Maui, Department of Water Supply website and also displayed on the 5th floor of the County Building for one year.
Video Contest Theme
The theme for this year’s video contest is “Protecting Our Water, Our Kuleana”. Submitted videos were judged based on the following criteria: originality of content and concept, quality of video and audio, how well the video addresses the theme of source water protection and water quality, and whether or not community organizations were featured in the video. -. Award Ceremony
The award ceremony for both contests were held jointly on Friday, May 19, 2023 on the 9th Floor of the County Building, Kalana O Maui. All winners received a Certificate of Recognition, cash prize, and a tote bag.
